PEDAGOGICAL CONTENTS

In my internship journey, I was able to observe and teach all the Grade 10 and Senior High School levels. All the sections including the bilingual classes at UPI. Based on my experiences, there are major differences in their curriculum, techniques, materials, and methods of teaching compared to what is practiced in the field of Education in the Philippines.

In Physical Education, sports and games are the main goals. While in the Philippines, you need to learn the subjects in Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health or what we call the MAPEH subject. The discussions can be done in the both classroom and gymnasium depending on the lesson content. In terms of material, the school provided textbooks for their sources regarding the whole semester's learning information, During the Activity in the gym (field) the Instructional Materials (IMs) are available for both teachers and learners.

There is not much technology-based material for teaching because all the activities can be done practically.  Assessments after the classes can apply during the time and activity itself provided to students. The UPI and my school here in the Philippines are just the same in terms of educational system that's why it is not that hard for me to adjust, but more likely to strive harder.
